Introducing easy, low cost option to transfer price book data to a new Passport® Point of Sale
Norwalk, CT.– October 10, 2015 – Success Systems®, the most recommended back office solution in the US, has announced a partnership with Gilbarco Veeder-Root to provide automation solutions to petroleum retailers and c-store operations with their low cost back office solutions. Additionally Success Systems has developed a unique cloud-based conversion and price book tool that allows retailers to transfer existing price book data from other POS platforms to Passport, drastically reducing time and effort for the retailer.
This expanded relationship between Success Systems and Gilbarco will bring best-in-class business intelligence products and services to the c-store industry, by enhancing the integration between Success Systems back office solutions and Gilbarco’s Passport™ POS terminal as well as Impulse™, their platform for upselling at the POS. Gilbarco customers will have access to a free license of Success Systems’ ePB RetailLink™, with features including a price book management tool that enables users to make price changes, create mix-match groups, set and manage promotions, receive electronic invoices from the store’s major food wholesaler, and print shelf and item labels.
The two companies have also collaborated on a price book conversion tool developed and supplied by Success Systems. The conversion tool allows store operators to migrate the store’s current price book from the store’s legacy POS register to a new Gilbarco Passport terminal, resulting on average in a time savings of X hours.
Gilbarco’s Passport and Impulse customers will also be able to enhance their experience with any of Success Systems’ ePB family products. The product line includes: ePB Lite™, ePB Premium™, ePB Books™ and ePB Accounting™. ePB brings a feature-rich cloud based application that lets store owners: centralize and manage store prices; initiate promotions by day of the week and hour of the day; receive automatic product, delivery and pricing updates from wholesalers; keep control of store’s profits by managing both item and department’s margins; simplify store’s bookkeeping and daily reconciliation; manage fuel, ground storage, and EPA/UST reporting requirements; manage store inventory based on sales activity, among other features.
